Italian pianist Raffaele Scognamiglio will give a concert at the National Library in Chisinau on May 6, starting at 6pm. According to a press release, the pianist will perform works by Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, IPN reports.
A former director of the Padova-based Giuseppe Verdi Theater, Raffaele Scognamiglio fell in love with the Moldovan landscape. He has classical and university Italian literature studies and also studied at the Padova Conservatory of Music.
In 1980-1990, he was involved in concert work in Austria and Germany. The European Commission conferred the title of promoter of classical music on him. Raffaele Scognamiglio is the founder of the international lyric music song contest in Italy.
