The Government has formally disapproved a bill proposed by the Communist-Socialist Bloc to provide a childbirth allowance called “the maternity capital”, mimicking Russia’s “materinsky kapital”.
In its negative opinion, the Government remarked that the bill’s authors failed to explain why a different allowance is needed in addition to the existing childbirth benefits.
Also, the Government disapproved a Com-Soc bill proposing further compensations for domestic consumers for the increased cost of electricity and heating.
The Government said the bill does not clearly specify the amounts of compensations to be offered, the procedure, the agencies responsible for calculating and paying out the compensations another aspects.
