Photos taken by civil society to attract businesses and local authorities
The best pictures taken by civil society will be displayed in an exhibition themed “Cooperation for Community’s Benefit”, which presents the best working practices of the NGO sector with local public administration and businesses. The exhibition will be opened at the Art Gallery in Comrat on March 28, 2011, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the International Society for Human Rights–Moldovan Section.
“We hope that this even will help the civil society organizations to obtain larger financial support from businesses and the public authorities so that they are able to diversity their financial resources,” said Liubov Nemcinova, head of the International Society for Human Rights–Moldovan Section.
The exhibition will include the best 100 photographs selected from about 150 photos sent by over 60 NGOs from Comrat and Ungheni.
The best three photos will be awarded on March 28. The winners will receive money awards offered by the Comrat-based V.V.N. Dmitr-Grup SRL.
The exhibit will also include photographs that took part in the previous contest themed “Civil Society Organizations: inspiration by action”, which was held last December.
The exhibition is organized by the International Society for Human Rights–Moldovan Section and is financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development within the Academy for Educational Development’s Strengthening Civil Society Capacity in Moldova Program.
The exhibit will be open between 10 am and 5pm during March 28-30. Entrance is free of charge.
