The association K Lumea opened the sixth Exhibition of Christmas Trees on November 24. This will culminate on December 17 with a Christmas Trees’ Ball, a tender contest and the selection of winners.





The Exhibition of Christmas Trees is actually a design contest for arts students. About 50 competitors exhibited their works this year. According to the organizers, the visitors can take part in the voting of the preferred ‘fir tree’ that will later win the “Chosen by the Public” award. Also, a jury consisting of journalists, artists and designers will choose ten finalists that will take part in the tender contest within the Christmas Trees’ Ball of December.

The proceeds of the event will go to the fir tree authors and Arteapia project of K Lumea.

In the previous five editions of the event, the team of K Lumea offered over 300 young artists the possibility of exhibiting their works. These enjoyed the first appraisals of the public, obtained courage and started to create on their own. They won money awards for paying tuition, equipment and stationery.

The exhibition can be visited at 110 Dosoftei St, ap. 1-3. Between December 11 and 17, the ten finalist fir trees will be exhibited in the hall of Radisson Blu Hotel.
