Two Moldovan young men developed a mobile phone application that is designed to improve the communication between lawmakers and people. Deputy Head of Parliament Sergiu Sarbu told a news conference that effort is made to bring the legislative body closer to the people, IPN reports.

“The representatives of an IT company working in Moldova expressed interest in the work of the legislature. The young men put foreword a solution for bringing the legislative body closer to the people. With these men’s support, an application for mobile phones has been worked out during several months,” stated Sergiu Sarbu.

The application allows accessing information about the Parliament’s structure and viewing online the plenary sittings. “There will be a module enabling everyone to directly contact the MPs. The software was designed absolutely free,” said the lawmaker.

The application will be transmitted to the Parliament’s secretariat and Sergiu Sarbu voiced hope that it will start to be used immediately after the new legislative body starts work.
