Over 400 pharmaceutical professionals from both sides of the Prut River gathered for the 10th Congress of Pharmacists of the Republic of Moldova. The event, organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF), in partnership with the Pharmacists' Association, celebrates "60 Years of Innovation and Progress" at the Faculty of Pharmacy and marks the 90th anniversary of Professor Vasile Procopisin's birth, IPN reports.
Seven academic departments, 55 graduating classes, 4,320 local graduates, and 501 international alumni represent the legacy of "60 Years of Innovation and Progress" in the history of the USMF Faculty of Pharmacy.
The event brought together pharmaceutical professionals, academics, researchers, students, and dignitaries.

"We have opened over 43 new pharmacies in 16 districts, with more to come. Soon, we will present two long-awaited legislative proposals to the Government for approval: the 'Medicines Law' and the 'Pharmacy Law' along with regulations on pharmaceutical waste management", announced Minister Nemerenco.
USMF Rector Emil Ceban paid tribute to those who have contributed to the Faculty of Pharmacy's development. "A success story like this would not have been possible without the visionary founding figures who laid the groundwork for an institution capable of addressing contemporary challenges, training highly skilled specialists, and advancing research and production in the pharmaceutical field. A key figure in this journey is Professor Vasile Procopisin, who remains an inspiration for all generations", said Rector Ceban.
Guests and supporters of the event included deans of pharmacy faculties from Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj, Oradea, Timisoara, Targu Mures, and Constanta, as well as representatives from the Romanian Pharmacists' Association.
Doina Draganescu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Carol Davila University in Bucharest, reflected on the strong ties between faculties, emphasizing a "35-year-long collaboration and friendship".
