The Prosecutor General’s Office is to present a report on special investigation activities for last year to Parliament. This is provided in the parliamentary control plan for 2022 that was approved by the committee on national security, defense and public order. The Security and Intelligence Service will also present a report, IPN reports.
There will be examined the annual progress reports for 2021 of the State Guard and Protection Service, the Customs Service and the General Border Police Inspectorate.
Also, the Public Services Agency will report on the implementation of the law on identification papers of the national passport system.
The responsible authorities will report on the implementation of the law on the state secret, the law on aeronautic security, the law on the electronic signature and electronic document, the law on the prevention and combating of cybercrime.
The approved plan stipulates the areas that will be covered by parliamentary control, namely: national security; data security, informatics and cybernetics; national defense; public order; anticorruption and integrity; negotiations on the territorial settlement of the Republic of Moldova.
Under the plan, fact-finding visits will be made to the Chisinau International Airport, the state-run company Mărculești International Airport and some of the localities of Dubăsari district that are in the Security Zone.
