PGO says videos will be examined within criminal case started earlier

The videos featuring Igor Dodon, Vlad Plahotniuc and Sergey Yaralov, which were presented today by MPs Iurie Reniță and Lilian Carp, will be examined within the criminal case started earlier, based on the denouncements submitted by the PPPDA leader Andrei Năstase and MP Iurie Reniță, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), the footage presented today seems to be a continuation of the previous videos where there are invoked allegedly illegal acts of the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon.

As to MP Lilian Carp’s assertion that the PGO was furnished with these videos long ago, the institution said that acting chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office Sergiu Gavajuc noted that he does not know about the presence of a memory stick with such information at their intuition, but will determine if this is so.

New footage of last year’s meeting of Igor Dodon and the then leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc and also Plahotniuc’s right hand Sergey Yaralov were made public by MPs Iurie Reniță and Lilian Carp. The MPs demand that the prosecutors should examine the videos and see if there is enough evidence to hold the President accountable for treason. In the footage, Igor Dodon says he permanently writes notes to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
