PG withdraws case of rape of teenage girl in Taraclia

The case of rape of a minor girl in Taraclia was withdrawn from the Taraclia Police Inspectorate. Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo made an order, empowering the General Police Inspectorate’s General Criminal Investigation Division to continue the investigation, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, IPN reports.

Given the complexity of the criminal case, the Prosecutor General ordered to set up a criminal investigation group that will swiftly and objectively examine all the circumstances of this case and will assess the steps taken by the prospectors and police in Taraclia by now.

The case was started on March 17. The victim is 16 years and a half and she was operated following the rape. The suspects are three classmates of hers aged 17 and 18.
