PG makes call to persons affected by illegalities committed by police

The Prosecutor General's Office (PG) urges the persons affected by the illegal acts committed by police officers in April this year to immediately come to the institution after receiving citations. In a communique, the PG says the call was made with the aim of hastening the examination of the legal cases, Info-Prim Neo reports. The call is addressed to the persons appearing as injured sides in the cases. “The prosecutors take all the measures to objectively and transparently investigate the facts described in complaints about abuses, use of torture and other illegalities committed by police officers and to send the cases to court,” the PG says in a communique. More than 300 persons were arrested during and after the April protests. Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office announced that they had received over 80 complaints against police officers.
