PG aims to discredit PCRM by political legal cases, party’s jurist

Sergiu Sarbu, the jurist of the PCRM, denies the information broadcast by the Prosecutor General’s Office (PG), according to which the party illegally obtained the building located at 11 Nicolae Iorga St. He said they may sue the PG for violating the principle of presumption of innocence. Sergiu Sarbu has told Info-Prim Neo that he found out about the legal case started by the PG from the press. “We received no official notification. There is no court decision, but the Prosecutor’s Office already accused the party groundlessly. It is not excluded that we will sue the PG,” the jurist said. “These are aberrations that do not deserve being commented. It is a political order by the Government to discredit the party before the elections,” Sergiu Sarbu said, adding that 10 legal cases have been opened against the PCRM and all are fabricated. The Prosecutor General’s Office issued a press release, informing that legal action was taken against the PCRM. The party is suspected of illegally obtaining the building situated at 11 Nicolae Iorga St from the public association “House of Chisinau Public Education Workers”.
