The persons with a criminal record will be unable to apply for a job in education establishments.  The managers of education institutions will be obliged to ask for records of punishments from the candidates, IPN reports.

An order to this effect was made by Minister of Education Maia Sandu. Under the order, the general directors of education, youth and sport institutions cannot employ persons with a criminal record in the administrative or auxiliary personnel either.

The implementation of the order will be monitored by the Ministry of Education’s Human Resources, Continuous Formation and Attestation Division.
