Persons with children and with special needs will cross border as diplomats do

During the Easter holidays, the families with children and the persons with special needs at the most popular border crossing points will be referred to the diplomatic channels. For the purpose, the Border Police ordered to set up mobile teams outfitted with special equipment that will swiftly check the travel documents, IPN reports, quoting the Border Police.

To inform the traffic participants with children, there were placed boards that indicate the movement direction. Also, 20 students of the National Border Police College were assigned to work at crowded border crossing points to ease transfrontier traffic and assist the border police.

These and other measures taken by the Border Police were assessed by Minister of the Interior Alexandru Jizdan, who paid a visit to the border crossing point “Leuseni”. The minister said the flow of persons and units of transports is under control. Statistics for the previous years show the Border Police employees can efficiently and correctly manage the flow to ensure fast and convenient crossing.

Furthermore, Border Police chief Fredolin Lecari said the border police personnel cannot go on leave in the period and reserves of employees are being formed. The border police officers are ready to intervene in any situation.

On Easter, the border police officers, alongside customs inspectors, will meet the travellers with cakes that were specially baked for children.
