Persons holding dual citizenship can go out of Moldova with Romanian passport or travel permit
The persons that hold dual nationality, Moldovan and Romanian, now can go out of Moldova only on the basis of the valid Romanian passport or travel permit issued by the consular section, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau.
According to the quoted source, the persons holding dual citizenship that have expired Romanian passports, certificates confirming that the person has Romanian nationality or Romanian birth certificates will be no more allowed to go out of Moldova using these documents.
The persons that have such documents and want to travel to Romania can apply for travel permits at the consular section.
The travel permit is issued on the basic of two color, passport-type photos (3.5x4.5), the original and copy of the document confirming that the person holds Romanian citizenship and a consular tax of 50 dollars.
