The persons who accompany foreign delegations to ensure the protection of foreign officials will be able to bring into the country, to carry and use service weapons on Moldova’s territory, as the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided on November 17, IPN reports.

The weapons will be used in accordance with the law concerning the use of physical force, special means and firearms. The Ministry of Home Affairs will authorize the carrying and will monitor the use of such weapons in accordance with the procedure referring to defense and guard weapons.

The ordinances made by the Commission for Exceptional Situations of Moldova are binding on the managers of local and central public authorities, business entities, public institutions, the citizens and other persons who are on Moldova’s territory.
