The period for reregistering persons as unwaged was extended from three to six months for persons who lost this status for unfounded reasons. Also, the jobless persons will be provided with health insurance only while they will get unemployment benefit, as a bill that was endorsed by the Cabinet on Wednesday stipulates.
Under the document, the local subdivisions of the National Employment Agency will provide new services to help persons looking for a job to identity the most suitable employment measures.
According to statistics presented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, 14,000 persons were registered as unemployed in Moldova during the first six months of this year. In the period, 19,000 jobs were declared vacant and 4,500 jobless persons were hired.
