A person who in 2018-2019 formed part of the administration of Moldova’s Railways (CFM) will appear before judges. The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases completed the investigation into one charge of the case of appropriation. The person is accused of abuse of office as a result of which the company failed to collect incomes of almost 800 million lei, IPN reports.

The internal losses suffered by CFM as a result of other activities couldn’t have been covered this way. Damage of almost 100 million lei was caused to the company’s property.

Prosecutors and employees of the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency sequestrated tangible and intangible assets of the accused persons and of members of his family to the value of over 8 million lei.

The case is to be sent to court.
