The period for registering units of transport of the Transnistrian region and Bender municipality with neutral-design license plates could be extended until September 1, 2022. The Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance approved a bill to amend the given law, IPN reports.

“The extension of the time limit by two years will enable to satisfy the national interest by providing public services to the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region and by building confidence between the two banks of the Nistru River,” says the informative note to the bill.

The law on the registration of particular motor vehicles and amendment of a number of legal acts provides that the period expires this year. The bill is to be considered by Parliament.
