The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization has extended by two weeks, until September 15, the compensation period for transition expenses incurred by former small vendor patent holders, announced Minister Dumitru Alaiba on his Facebook account.
According to Dumitru Alaiba, in the last two weeks almost a thousand out of a little over four thousand former patentees migrated to the new self-employment regime. Given that there are only a few days left until August 31, when the original deadline for requesting compensations expires, it was decided to extend it so that more beneficiaries can buy cash registers and cover other transition costs.
According to the minister, although almost 70% of the former patentees have already migrated to the new regime, there are still rumors in marketplaces that the patent will be extended, which is not true. “The small vendor patent remains history. We have offered a new form of activity, one that is transparent and fair to all vendors. In the last two weeks we have had a huge jump. Already about 70% of all patentees have complied and are already working with cash register and tax receipt. A normality these days”, said the minister.
As of 31 December 2022, about 4,800 holders of small vendor patents were registered with the State Fiscal Service.
