About 500 children from boarding schools based in Chisinau, Orhei and Balti received presents and sweets and enjoyed a two-hour performance involving dancers, clowns, magicians and singers. The event was organized by the team of the campaign “I Love Moldova” and the band “Lume” (“World”), Info-Prim Neo reports. The toys were gathered within a collection campaign launched by “I Love Moldova” on a social networking site. Young people donated money with which candies were bought for the children. The organizers also provided units of transport that conveyed the children from the boarding schools to the event in Chisinau. “I’m very glad that we managed to create a holiday atmosphere for you. I congratulate you on the winter holidays and wish you happiness. We, the team of “I Love Moldova”, will be near you,” said MP Igor Dodon, who initiated the campaign. “We engaged in the organization of this event alongside the campaign “I Love Moldova” because the people involved in this campaign are always ready for such events, while today’s event is designed to bring joy to the orphans and children with disabilities,” said Irina Tarasciuc, a member of the band “Lume”.
