Peresecina to have a new wastewater Treatment Plant

A new wastewater treatment plant will be built in the village of Peresecina. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. It includes the construction of an 18-kilometer-long sewage network designed to serve 3,200 households, IPN reports.

A total of 29 million lei has been allocated from the National Environmental Fund. The treatment capacity will reach 600 cubic meters per day, with the project's main goal being to significantly improve water quality and, consequently, the living conditions of over 3,000 residents in the village.

Currently, Peresecina operates a 200 cubic meter per day reservoir. As work progresses, additional reservoirs will also be put into operation, according to the Ministry of Environment.

In a press release, Minister Sergiu Lazarencu urged local authorities across the country to apply for funding from the Environmental Fund to implement local projects aimed at improving living conditions for the population.
