The people’s confidence in Vlad Filat decreased over the last half a year. About 9.4% of the Moldovans have confidence in Vlad Filat now, as against 20% last November, said the Public Opinion Barometer. According to the survey, 18.5% of the respondents have trust in Vladimir Voronin, 6.7% in Dorin Chirtoaca, while 6.4% in Marian Lupu, IPN reports.

When presenting the poll, political analyst Viorel Cibotaru said that the people’s assessments of the government and living conditions affect the executive’s image and there is the perception that the Government belongs to Vlad Filat. The work of the Government led by Vlad Filat was described as negative rather than positive by 44% of those polled.

The poll shows that the PCRM is trusted by 33% of the respondents, the PLDM – by 24%, the PDM – by 18%, while the other parties by less than 5%. If elections were held next Sunday, about 80% of the voters would cast their ballots. 32.5% of those surveyed said they would vote for the PCRM, 12.6% for the PLDM, 10.5% for the PL, while 6.8% for the PDM. 35% could not answer this question

65% of those questioned consider that Moldova should be ruled by one party, 14% said that by two parties, while 8% want a collation government.

84% of the respondents believe that things in Moldova go wrong. This percentage is now higher than last autumn. The people are mostly dissatisfied with the salaries, pensions, jobs, combating of corruption, and the living standards. Half of those polled consider that the change of the administration would lead to an improvement in the socioeconomic situation in the country.

The survey was organized by the Public Policy Institute. It was carried out during April 6-21 and covered a sample of 1,100 people older than 18 from 76 settlements. The margin of sampling error is 3%.
