Education should become a national priority, while the functionaries suspected of corruption should be held accountable. These are the objectives set by the political party People’s Movement “Antimafie” that is headed by Sergiu Mocanu. The party presented its electoral platform in the third Political Congress that involved 285 delegates, IPN reports.
Before presenting the platform, the party’s deputy head Daniela Bodrug said that Moldova is now an occupied state and the state institutions are held hostage by the ruling mafia, the public administration being excessively bureaucratized and corrupt. The current government, hiding behind the European integration slogan, appropriated public money. The ruling parties and the parties of the opposition as well are a real danger to this state. “The People’s Movement “Antimafie” asks for your support for carrying out a program to modernize the country and to make radical changes in the legal system by fully replacing the judiciary and publicly punishing the mafia heads,” stated Daniela Bodrug.
In its platform, the party says the People’s Movement “Antimafie” will not steal and will bring to justice all the functionaries reasonably suspected of breaking the law. “We will not lie as several generations of coward politicians have done. We will not tolerate corrupt and inefficient stated administration. We will reduce the number of ministries to eight ministries and will not tolerate the right to possession over goods stolen in the period after the declaration of independence. The law on the sequestration of property appropriated by corruption or abuse of power will be the first law that will be adopted. Within several months, we will institute the dictatorship of the rule of law and will ask for a mission of EU judges and prosecutors for a two-year period. We will not allow appropriating public funds and will increase the state budget and state social insurance budget incomes during a year. We will employ new customs officers and tax inspectors, 70% of whom will be from the EU,” said Danilea Bodrug.
She added that the party will not neglect the doctors and teachers. “We will work out a program to rehabilitate the teachers and doctors and will allocate 16% of the GDP for education, which will be declared a priority. We will attract investments to the industry processing agricultural production. If we do not fulfill the largest part of our promises in two years, we will resign and will announce early parliamentary elections,” said the deputy head of “Antimafie”.
Besides the electoral platform, the participants in the Congress adapted a resolution on Moldova’s political and military security, which says that the status of permanent neutrality kept the country under the sphere of influence of Russia. The situation in Ukraine showed that Moldova is fully unprotected militarily, but the people have the right to guaranteed security. They should not be afraid of the regime promoted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The people also have the right to life, which must be ensured by the parties and their leaders. Sergiu Mocanu said the party commits itself to guaranteeing the country’s security.
Sergiu Mocanu also said that the whole political class of Moldova, including the government coalition, should be removed. When the politicians come to power, they become more sophisticated and consider themselves more important. “We have a lot of work to do. We are to compile a list of candidates and to carry out a very difficult campaign. I cannot say that we will win 60 seats of MP, but we ask you not to doubt it that we will succeed,” he stated.
Registered at the Ministry of Justice in April 2011, the People’s Movement “Antimafie” declares itself a pro-European and anti-system party.
