The People’s Force Party (PFP) on December 13 holds its Extraordinary Congress. In a communique, the party says the Congress will take important decisions as to the political support provided to the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” in the protest movement’s efforts to become involved in the political processes given the possible early parliamentary elections, IPN reports.

The Congress will examine the report of the PFP chairman concerning the party’s activity following the worsening of the socioeconomic situation in the country and of the political crisis. The participants in the Congress will discuss the current situation in Moldova, possibilities of strengthening the anti-oligarchic and pro-European forces and particular proposals regarding the party’s strategy at the current development stage of the country.

The Congress will choose the new administration of the party and will modify the composition if its supreme bodies – the National Political Council and the Standing Political Bureau.

The Extraordinary Congress of the People’s Force Party will take place at the Trade Unions House, situated at 129, 31 August 1989 St, starting at 11am.

Leaders of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” earlier said that one of two ways will be chosen to constitute a party designed to be an alternative to the ruling political class: creation of a new party or taking over of a non-discredited party.
