Corruption, poverty, the economic crisis and consecutive price rises explain the dramatic decline in the Moldova people’s confidence in the state institutions and this fact favors the appearance of a new political party that would be massively supported by the population. Such a conclusion was formulated in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

Nicolae Chirtoaca, who heads the People’s Force Party, accuses the state administration of the current state of affairs. “The Republic of Moldova is in a profound crisis. During five years, this oligarchic government has transformed politics into a dirty business. The people no longer want this power and want to replace it by revolutionary ways,” he stated.

Constitutional law expert Vitali Catana questioned the discernment of the Moldovan voters. “In Moldovan politics, things are like in football. Twenty-two players run after the ball and Germany ultimately wins. For me, the fact that a person who did only impresario work wins the elections and entered politics is a problem. We can thus doubt the discernment of the Moldovan voters,” he said.

Communication specialist Ion Grosu considers society in Moldova is divided. “The war in Ukraine, the crisis in the region and the economic situation negatively affected the population. It’s highly improbable than new political organizations trusted by the people will appear,” he said.

The results of the last sociological survey presented by CBS-AXA show that 87% of those polled consider things in Moldova go wrong.
