People’s artist Constantin Adam has passed away

Actor Constantin Adam, a People’s Artist, has passed away, the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre announced today. This summer, the actor would have turned 74, IPN reports.

The Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, where the actor performed, expressed condolences to his family and loved ones: "Constantin Adam has passed into eternity, the actor who brought unforgettable characters to life on stage and on screen, on TV and in cinemas."

The actor will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 22, at the Central Cemetery in Chisinau. Before the funeral, those who wish to pay their respects can do so at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre between 10:00 and 12:00.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova also expressed condolences, stating: "He will live on through every character he brought to life," as posted on the ministry’s official page.

Constantin Adam was born on June 19, 1951, in the village of Balanesti, Nisporeni district. Between 1972 and 1976, he studied theatre and film acting at the G. Muzicescu Institute of Arts in Chisinau. Since 1979, he had been an actor at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre.
