The TV and radio stations will broadcast two social videos to promote a healthy lifestyle. Simultaneously, thematic flashmob meetings and other activities will be carried out in Chisinau, Balti and Cahul in November - December within an information campaign of the Ministry of Health titled “Say Yes for Your Health!”. The campaign will continue until this yearend, while its image is folk music singer Ion Paladi, IPN reports.
In a news conference, campaign coordinator Vlad Costandoi said the event starts on October 13, at 9am, with a cycling race on the Chisinau-Capriana-Chisinau route for professional and amateur cyclists. The same day, the fair of healthy foods Biofest 2013 will be staged in the central park of Chisinau. A folk music concert will be given by Moldovan and Romanian artists in the evening. Also, in November – December all the education institutions will take part in a drawing contest.
Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi told the same news conference that the campaign is part of the Ministry’s efforts to prevent serious diseases that lead to premature death. Healthy eating is more beneficial than drug taking.
The 3 million lei campaign is financed by the National Health Insurance Company.
