The People Power Party submitted the documents for being registered as a runner in the July 11 snap parliamentary elections to the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.
The party’s president Ruslan Codreanu, ex-acting mayor of Chisinau municipality, said the electoral list of the party includes experienced specialists from different areas: health, justice, economy, local public administration. Half of the candidates are women. “We believe in the power of women and that the women can change things in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Ruslan Codreanu.
The list consists of 57 candidates and the first ten on it are: Ruslan Codreanu, Mihai Stratulat, Irina Revin, Ala Bulgaru, Radu Podolean, Inga Catlabuga, Marin Zavalidrov, Ruslan Vasilică, Cristina Temizkay, and Petru Socolan.
“We do not come to divide and do not come to throw mud at someone. We are firmly convinced that one cannot build an image and cannot become a political leader when they disseminate dirt and accusations. On the contrary, we want to be part of a developed and educated society. We have our own path. Moldova does not go to the right or to the left. Moldova should go straight on,” said Ruslan Codreanu.
The party’s priorities include the interests of children. “We want to offer all the children equal chances, either in the town or in the village, either they are from a rich family or from a vulnerable family,” noted Ruslan Codreanu.
The party’s budget for the current election campaign is of 200,000 lei.
The CEC has seven days to examine the file and take a decision as to the registration. Nine election contenders have been registered by now. Eight files are under examination. The time limit for submissions is June 11.
