Residents have complained about a powerful hailstorm along with heavy rain that caused damages this afternoon in the Gagauz villages of Çöşmäküü and Tülüküü, Gagauzinfo reported.

A resident posted a clip that showed streets coated by sizable hailstones and courtyards being flooded.

Contacted by IPN, Emergencies Inspectorate spokesperson Liliana Pușcașu said no calls for intervention have been made and no damages have been officially reported in the two villages. Meanwhile, rescuers went to Slobozia Mare, Cahul district, to pull out two vehicles that slid into a ditch off a rain-slicked road.

Storms are expected tomorrow as well.
