The party “Pentru Neam si Tara” (PPNT – for Nation and Country, Rom.), registered as an electoral competitor on March 6, Monday, announced at a news conference hosted by Info-Prim Neo it started the electoral campaign. In the social sector, the PPNT purses, in case it reaches the Parliament, to raise the pensions to 1,500-2,000 lei. Nicolae Utica, the president of the PPNT, considers that the political party will pass over the 6-percent threshold to enter the Parliament. In the PPNT's platform, the party states it will support and encourage the Moldovan entrepreneurs, the rise of investments in education, health and culture, supporting the NGOs, promoting and strengthening the local public administrations. The PPNT also pursues Moldova's integration into the European structures and rejects the political, ethnic and religious extremism. A candidate on the PPNT's electoral list, Nicolae Sali, explained the name of the party as follows: “The name of the party is in our historical spirit. Obviously, the matter is about our ancestors, it's about our Dacian-Romanian nation. At this stage, poverty – but not the bread but our spiritual life – lacks. Leaving this land from day to day leads us into a steep.” The Pentru Neam si Tara party declares itself as Social-Liberal, by orientation, and has 5,600 registered members, said president Nicolae Utica.
