Pensions will be higher from April 1
All the types of pensions, including the old-age, disability and successor’s pensions, will be by 7.8% higher from April 1, under a Government Decision made in March, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, only the part of the pension that is paid from the state social insurance budget will be increased.
The minimum old-age pension is 641 lei, as against 594 lei until now, the minimum pension in agriculture - 570 lei, as opposed to 529 lei, while the minimum disability pension - 456 lei for the first disability degree, 440 lei for the second degree and 310 lei for the third degree.
The pensions of servicemen and employees of the Interior Ministry’s troops and command corps were raised by 7.4%.
As many as 627,000 persons are entitled to pensions in Moldova.
