The recipients of old-age pensions set based on international social security agreements, who reside in another state that is a party to the agreement, can have their pension reexamined, the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) has said. As of July 1 this year, the persons who had their old-age pension set after January 1, 1999 and worked afterward for at least ten years can file applications, IPN reports.
The applicants must submit in person the form plus the copy of an identification paper and of the employment record book to the responsible institution of the state of residence or to Moldova’s CNAS.
The new pension is provided from the month coming after the month the application and the necessary documents are filed to the responsible bodies.
Currently, the CNAS applies 13 international social security agreements signed with: Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Luxemburg, Belgium, Hungary, Lithuania, Germany, and Turkey. More than 900 pensions were set based in these agreements.
