The Constitutional Court on February 16 announced that it stopped to determine the constitutionality of the law based on a challenge submitted by the lawyer of a pensioner who continues to work and sued the authorities because he was refused to have his pension recalculated on the basis of the contributions that he continues to pay into the pension fund. The reason for the move is that Parliament meanwhile dealt with the exception of unconstitutionality invoked by the author of the challenge, IPN reports.
According to the Constitutional Court, on December 16, 2016 the legislative body adopted amendments to the Law on the Public Pension System. These allow recalculating the pension of persons who continue to work after retirement.
