The pensioners on the left side of the Nistru started to collect the bonuses to pensions provided from the humanitarian aid offered annually by the Russian Federation, The Transnistrian administration announced that it recently received a new tranche from Russia and the overdue bonuses for the first four months of this year are being paid, IPN reports.
According to Transnistrian press reports, the current tranche of Russian assistance is intended for half a year. As the bonuses to pensions weren’t paid in January, February and March, the pensioners as of April 15 will get these payments for the first four months together. About 150,000 pensioners will get by 600 Transnistrian rubles in bonuses a month.
Those who already collected the pensions provided by the Transnistrian administration will get the bonus after April 19-20. All the beneficiaries are to be offered the bonuses by the Easter holidays. The payments for May and June will be paid as planned.
The Russian pension bonuses have been paid in the Transnistrian region for about ten years.
