A number of categories of pensioners in the Transnistrian region will benefit from monthly compensations. These include the persons who do not work and monthly collect social welfare and compensations not higher than the double value of the minimum old-age pension, IPN reports.

With reference to the local administration, the Transnistrian press reported that the minimum old-age pension is 616 rubles. Thus, the pensioners who do not work and whose pension, together with the calculated bonus, does not exceed 1,232 rubles will get compensations. For example, if the pensioner collects 1,200 rubles, the compensation will be only 32 rubles.

About 30,000 persons are expected to receive such compensations. The related costs were assessed at 24 million rubles. To benefit from compensation, the persons who considers they are eligible should personally submit an application to this effect.
