A penitentiary for juveniles in Chisinau's suburban village of Goian will be re-opened until the end of this year after extensive rehabilitation. The Correctional Department said in a press release that Penitentiary no.10 will meet all the European standards, Info-Prim Neo reports. The rehabilitation works started in June. Currently repairs are on-going at the penitentiary's canteen and at floors 2-4. The rehabilitation also includes installation of wiring and of the heat and water supply systems. Overall, 80% of the rehabilitation works are completed. The Correctional Department said that besides better detention conditions, all the conditions will be created to improve the psychological state of every juvenile held at Penitentiary no.10.
