Two girls aged 8 and 9 have been raped in one of Tiraspol neighborhoods, as the police is searching on alert. All the streets are patrolled, as the police post the pedophile’s sketches in populous places, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in the Transnistrian area reports. The police have seemingly detained more suspects whose face features allegedly match the sketch, yet the information has not been confirmed by regional authorities. Enhanced security measures have been undertaken in all the Tiraspol schools, yet many parents are desperate. Guards paid by parents committees are present in practically all the education units. After the rapes, the access into schools is going to be restricted. According to the Head of Tiraspol’s Education subdivision, Yevgeny Kakhanovsky, the schools will get locked up during breaks, and unknown grownups will be banned to enter schools during classes. Such security measures were taken for the first time in the Transnistrian area in July and August 2006, when nine died in a minibus blast.
