A pedestrian was killed when a car that went out of control struck him on a local road. Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened not far from Leova town, at about 2pm. After hitting the pedestrian, the car went into a tree. The 30-year-old driver and two passengers were rushed to the hospital in Leova with serious injuries. A speeding GAZ truck got into a ditch on a road in Drochia district. A 26-year-old woman working for Banca de Economii was struck by a car on Malina Mica St. She suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion. A passenger traveling on a motorcycle fell off at a turn in Vasieni, Ialoveni. The 29-year-old man sustained serious traumas and was admitted to the Emergency Hospital in Chisinau. The six accidents that ocurred on the national roads yesterday and last night resulted on one death and eight persons injured. Twenty-one drivers were fined for DUI.
