A young man was killed when he was crushed under the wheels of a car that went out of control owing to technical faults. Paulina Iakimovski, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened in Saptebani village of Rascani district. A Mercedes driven by a 22-year-old man without a license broke, skidded and struck mortally a pedestrian aged 25. The driver was hospitalized with a fracture of the backbone. The 27-year-old driver of a BMW struck a pedestrian aged 65 when moving backward on Ioan Voda Viteazul St in Chisinau. The old man was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with fractures of the arms and right leg. A woman aged 27 was taken to the same hospital with a concussion and a fracture of the cranial bone after she was hit by a Volkswagen-Golf at the intersection of the streets Shchiusev and Serghei Lazo. A man, 53, jumped out of a Zonda bus running on the Odessa-Volontir route. He was admitted to the hospital with different injuries. An investigation is under way.
