If people who will try to disrupt public order come to the peaceful march arranged by the Bloc ACUM and the PSRM for June 16, the demonstration could degenerate. This event, even if it’s needed, is very delicate and we could experience turbulence from which the PDM would profit, political commentator Vlad Țurcanu was quoted by IPN as saying in a program on TVR Moldova channel.
Vlad Țurcanu said the Bloc ACUM and the Party of Socialists planned this event not in order to impress the Democratic Party that blocked the state institutions, but to show to the international community that they are not disposed to accept a different development and will not go to negotiations with the PDM, as they are probably recommended to do from abroad.
Politologist Igor Volnitski said the peaceful march staged by the PSRM and ACUM is the third step taken to promote the new government that was formed in Chisinau. The transmission of a powerful message about the formation of the parliamentary majority and the new Government was the first step, while the wave of messages of support that came from outside the country were the third step. “There will be many such steps and the citizens can organize a protest of a larger scale and this should be followed by smaller actions aimed at particular persons and entities,” stated the expert.
Political commentator Corneliu Ciurea said politicians’ calls to protests are illegal. “It’s clear that this Government with legality problems wants to compensate for the absence of legality by legitimacy. That’s why Mister Dodon, when he referred to their situation and the Government elected in Parliament, said this is legitimate and transmitted a message to the people, but didn’t say it is legal as there are serious legality and constitutionality problems,” he noted.
