PDM to hold consultations with PCRM

The Democratic Party (PDM) will have consultations with representatives of the Party of Communists (PCRM) on November 3, at 3pm. In a press release, the PDM says the goal of this consultative discussion is to see if the party can count on broad support in Parliament for choosing the future President, for amending the Constitution and for voting important laws to ensure the European course, IPN reports.

According to the party, the colleagues from Parliament, the representatives of the Liberal Party, the European People’s Party and the unaffiliated lawmakers, were informed about this meeting. These will be informed about the results of these consultations most probably in a meeting that will take place in the evening of November 3.

The PDM says last Friday it made a public call, asking that the negotiations between the pro-European parties should start as soon as possible so as to swiftly form a coalition in Parliament and invest the new government. “Regretfully, five days passed and we see that the PLDM uses different stratagems to postpone the beginning of these negotiations. We consider that the pro-European parties and society are not obliged and, in the current context, should not wait for the problems inside the PLDM to disappear,” it is said in the communique.

The PDM noted that in such conditions, they need to hold extensive consultations to find the votes needed to choose the head of state at the beginning of next year. Therefore, a meeting was scheduled with the PCRM.
