The salaries of employees of the local public authorities, respectively mayors and the personnel of mayor’s offices, mainly from communes, will be raised by up to 50% as of this August. The initiative was presented by the vice president of the Democratic Party Vladimir Cebotari in a press briefing after the weekly meeting of the PDM, IPN reports.
According to Vladimir Cebotari, two bills that will enable to distribute about 26 million lei for the purpose, for the second half of this year, will be adopted in two readings during the next few weeks. The money will be allotted from the state budget. From next year, the necessary financial resources will be obtained based on other “technical solutions”.
As to water supply and sewerage, the PDM intends to launch a project to provide water supply and sewerage services for Moldova communities in 2019. The vice president of the DPM said the most problematic regions in this regard are Edinet, Drochia, Glodeni, Straseni, Calarasi, Soroca, Hancesti and others.
Vladimir Cebotari said the money will be allocated form the national budget and by the development partners that expressed readiness to intervene. The value of the project hasn’t been yet determined.
