PDM says a dialog between authentic political parties is needed

The Democratic Party is for having roundtable discussions, in a format that would become permanent and would involve all the authentic parties. This is the party’s message after the Democratic leader Pavel Filip announced that the Democratic parliamentary group turned down the invitation to discussions made by incumbent President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.

“At this moment, a bilateral dialogue cannot be productive and efficient, especially in the situation in which we are now. These discussions should be started immediately given the crisis situation we experience and the lack of time,” stated Pavel Filip, being quoted in a press release of the party.

The members of the PDM’s Executive Bureau had a working meeting in the evening of November 17. They discussed the results of the presidential elections, the current political context and eventual scenarios. “The PDM considers a dialogue between authentic political parties in Parliament, which would end with the working out of an anti-crisis plan, the formation of a new government accepted by all the forces, cleanup of the political class and later organization of free and fair snap parliamentary elections, is imperatively necessary,” says the press release.
