The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) has launched an information campaign centering on the European integration. Within the campaign, there will be collected messages that the people want to transmit to the European leaders, IPN reports.
Teams of Democrats from all the country’s districts will gather messages from the people starting with November 7. The messages will be collected at tents, at the PDM’s head offices, on the campaign’s website and on a social networking site.
“By this campaign, we aim to popularize the European idea in Moldova and to directly thank the Moldovan people for the national effort made to bring our country closer to the European Union,” the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu told a news conference.
The party also aims to publish a book about Moldova, written by the county’s people, which will represent the country at the Vilnius EaP Summit. “We aim to come closer to the EU so that every citizen of this country can travel freely and can work without restrictions anywhere, in the East or in the West,” said the Democratic leader.
The EaP Summit will take place in Vilnius on November 28-29. Moldova is to initial the Association Agreement with the EU there.
