The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) has launched two campaigns. One has the slogan “Together we are stronger” and will promote the benefits of the rapprochement with the EU for the Moldovan people. The other campaign will consist of a nationwide debate on the changes needed in Moldovan politics. Both of the campaigns were initiated by the National Political Council of the PDM at the end of August, IPN reports.
In a press release, the party says the campaign for Moldova’s entry into the EU “Together we are stronger” will take place in September and will include the promotion of the government’s results in the area of European modernization of Moldova. The leader of the PDM Marian Lupu, who is the party’s candidate for the presidency, said Moldova’s future road is European. “We must unite society around the European vector so that there is no hatred, but only harmony and concerted work,” stated the politician.
The second campaign approaches the relationship between the political class and the people, the letter being urged to submit their critical remarks and proposals for improving the situation. For the purpose, the party launches the website www.nouapolitica.md where everyone is invited to state their opinions on the current political system of Moldova. The PDM will also hold meetings and debates in all the country’s settlements and will invite the people with critical, but constructive positions to take part and formulate proposals.
The launch of the website www.nouapolitica.md and the local public debates form part of the PDM’s broader project concerning the reform in politics, which was kicked off by the first deputy chairman of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc at the beginning of August.
