The residents of Hanasenii Noi village of Leova district elected their mayor. The PDM’s candidate Gheorghe Munteanu emerged victorious in the November 13 local elections. A second round of voting will take place in Falesti town, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Central Election Commission, Victor Zalevski on behalf of the PCRM and Pavel Ivanchuc representing the PLDM will compete in Falesti in the runoff vote. The post of mayor of Falesti fell vacant after the former mayor accepted the position of chairman of the Falesti district council. In Hanasenii Noi, the post became vacant after the mayor renounced the seat.
