PDM accuses ruling alliance colleagues of irregularities in elections
The election runners informed the Central Election Commission (CEC) about a number of violations committed in the June 19 runoff vote, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The PDM notified the CEC that the candidate for mayor of Hancesti town on behalf of the PLDM Tacu Constantin transported voters to the polling place and gave them money so that they voted for him. Deputy Minister of Construction and Regional Development Veaceslav Gututui, accompanied by the adviser to the Prime Minister Eugen Sturza, campaigned at the entrance to the polling place in Varzaresti village of Nisporeni district.
According to the PDM, after the PDM’s candidate for mayor in Edinet Cojocari Constantin warned his opponent representing the PCRM not to use the personal transport to convey voters to the polling place, the latter intentionally hit him with a car, causing him bodily injuries. In Rotunda village of Edinet district, the sympathizers of the PL committed acts of hooliganism near the polling place, which degenerated into fights.
The PDM also said that the prisoners of penitentiary No. 18 in Branesti voted by the mobile ballot box though they did not have a residence visa in Ivancea, Orhei. In Chirca village of Anenii Noi district, the chairman of the electoral office allowed taking the mobile ballot box out at 11.00, even if not all the applications had been collected and the list was incomplete.
The party said it will continue to collect evidence about the committed illegalities and will inform the CEC in accordance with the legislation.
The PLDM also notified the CEC of a possible violation of the legislation by a TV channel, which on the election day broadcast a report containing accusations and criticism leveled at the party’s candidate for mayor of Durlesti town. The PLDM requested the Commission to analyze the report and take the necessary measures.
