The National Political Council of the Party of Development and Union of Moldova (PDCM) elected the party’s five vice presidents, the secretary general, the members of the Central Executive Bureau and the managers of the Specialty Departments in charge of formulation of policies in the key areas. The party’s president, ex-Prime Minister Ion Chicu, will coordinate the European integration and foreign policy, building of the rule of law and observance of human rights.
In a press release, the PDCM says the elected vice presidents are:
Anatol Usatyi, ex-minister of the economy and infrastructure, who will be responsible for the economic sphere, including regional development and infrastructure;
Alexandru Holostenko, ex-secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, who will be in charge of health and social protection;
Diana Dicusari, director of the National Center for Conservation and Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage, who will be responsible for education, culture, research and sport;
Alexandru Botnari, mayor of Hâncești municipality, who will be in charge of local and central public administration, and
Vlad Castraveț, a young financial specialist who studied and trained abroad and who will be responsible for the youth policies.
Former minister of health, labor and social protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu was elected secretary general of the PDCM.
“We have a team that consists of exceptional persons Together we will manage to bring the Republic of Moldova back on the path of development and to restore the citizens’ confidence in the own state,” said the president of the PDCM Ion Chicu.
The PDCM was registered officially on April 16, 2021.
