PCRM’s candidate for Chisinau mayor promises roads, transport and public utilities of a high quality

Accessible and high-quality roads, transport and public utilities, a clean city, stopping of unauthorized constructions and rehabilitation of the housing infrastructure are among the goals of Igor Dodon, the Communist Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau, which are aimed at ensuring better administration in the municipality. Igor Dodon presented his electoral program on Lech Kaczynski St in Telecentru quarter on May 13. The candidate said he chose this place in order to attract attention to the illegal cutting of trees and unauthorized constructions in the area. According to Dodon, a number of trees were cut during one night in order to prepare the plot for the construction of a shopping center. “There are dozens and even hundreds of such illegal constructions in the municipality of Chisinau. It is strange that the City Hall issued the urbanism certificate for this construction so swiftly. Dorin Chirtoaca should better come here to see what’s going on,” said Igor Dodon. He promised that if he becomes a mayor, he will inventory all the constructions in the municipality, modernize and optimize the management of lifts in apartment buildings, implement an average-term program to repair the stairs and roofs of the blocks, fully repair 200 kilometers of road in Chisinau during four years. Igor Dodon also pledged to extend the electric transport network by opening new trolleybus routes to the airport and the suburban settlements Stauceni, Cricova, Vatra, and Gratiesti.
