PCRM will field candidate for deputy speaker of Parliament on condition
The PCRM will put forward a candidate for the post of deputy parliamentary speaker if the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) agrees the two consensus schemes proposed by the PCRM, the leader of the Communists Party Vladimir Voronin said at a news conference on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Voronin said that if the AEI accepts the proposals for overcoming the economic crisis and solving the Transnistrian dispute formulated by the PCRM, the party's parliamentary group will consider whether to put up a candidate for deputy speaker or not.
By a decision, the eighteenth legislature instituted four posts of deputy speaker, including one of first deputy speaker. The parliamentary majority, the Alliance for European Integration, decided that one of the posts of deputy speaker will be held by the PCRM so that all the parliamentary groups are represented in the Parliament's presidium.
The PL leader Mihai Ghimpu was named Speaker, the leader of the AMN Serafim Urecheanu – first deputy speaker, while Marcel Raducanu, of the PDM, and Iurie Tap, of the PLDM – deputy speakers.
